2003 1.4 polo clutch?

Hi,

Im just after a bit of your expert advice if possible.

My brother in law has a 2003 1.4 petrol polo. A couple of weeks ago on the MOT he was told it was leaking power steering fluid but they couldnt see where from. Today he is having gear selection problems, mainly 5th gear. I am wondering if the fluid it was leaking is actually clutch fluid? Does this model even have a hydraulic clutch or am i barking up the wrong tree?

if its clutch fluid then you should be able to see it from either the flexi hose or from the gearbox
