Hello is there anywhere in the north of scotland that can carry out a DPF removal on a 2007 A4?

Cheers

Hi there.
I can't help with an answer to your question but just wondered if you have thought about what to do when MOT time comes?
With new regulations coming in, if the DPF is supposed to be present (and they will know) and yet it is NOT present then your car will instantly fail the MOT. Don't get me wrong here, i think getting shot of the expensive DPF is the way forward but you would need to be able to have it converted back for MOT time i'm afraid.

Mot will never require the DPF to be present, however, you will be required to meet the smoke test standards as with petrols - a catalytic converter is not compulsary and removing it will not instantly fail you on the MOT provided your vehicle passes its' emissions.

We can offer a postal service to scotland ie you send the ecu to us for programming and remove the filter from a local garage.

As said these regulations that I spoke about have not come into play as yet. Some MOT stations have not even heard about them! It's all a waiting game at present to see what may or may not happen.
So at present it WILL pass an MOT

Thanks for clearing that up! Had so many people trying to contradict me on this, and all I'm trying to do is help people make the right decision before its too late.

This is what I can find....

"A catalytic convertor fitted as original equipment but missing will be a reason for failure."

See this site for details.... http://www.partinfo.co.uk/articles/61 even gives the 2012 MOT test manual to download ;)
