Have been reading an article in Car Mechanics over the Xmas break about changing manual gearbox oil and 'sealed for life' etc. My car is coming up to 75k now (2004 2.0L FSI) and needles to say is on the original gear oil.
My question is has anyone managed to change their gearbox oil? Is it even possible to do on these 6 speed manual gearboxes, I've heard that some makes dont even have a drain plug on the gearbox casings anymore!
Is my car one of them?
