Just driven a 12k km Fabia from the airport to the hotel (6km) and the red temp warning light has stayed on.

D'ya reckon I should check the coolant and top it up if necessary or take it back ?

Over here it's your responsibility to check the vehicle you're driving is roadworthy.

Over there, no idea.

As it's a car that you've paid a company to provide, I'd take it back again, remembering the first rule of car hire is to redline in every gear.

I love Tenerife, spent my 40th there this year and for some reason the lucky lucky men kept calling me Dell Boy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do Germans insist on putting towels down on the deck chairs even though there are massive signs saying don't put towels down on the seats

Chucked three bottles of water into the reservoir and the light's gone off, so panic over (for the time being)

3 bottles of water?!

There's a company that looks after their cars

It's an Auto- Reisen car and has 114000 kms on the clock - I thought it looked a bit rough for 11 thousand kms

Three days on, the temp light has returned, so another litre of water stuck into it.

Thankfully I'm returning it tomorrow...
