Fabia 53 plate Tdi replacement key

Hi guys,

we've had the Fabia just over a year now and it finally dawned on my that we still only have one key!!!!

I was wondering if anyone knows if its simply getting a key cut with this model or is there a chip inside the key for an immobiliser?

If I can't get one cut is a new key a dealer job and does anyone have a rough price?

Its NON central locking btw.

some small locksmith shops can do your key but wont code it to immobilzer
look in vcds section for someone in your area with vagtacho etc to code

I did ask around a few local key cutters and they all looked blankly at me lol

Get it cut then either try out my VW software and cable i got from a mate or find someone with vagtacho it should all be gravy :)


Hope it works fine, did alot with the software on my old vaux, makes life so easy!
