I am sorry that no one has answered your question in less than 20 minutes on a UK Bank Holiday Monday, it is shameful and we really must try harder...

For a start the fault code you have given is incorrectly described for your car, the N115 was only fitted to South Korean market models.

Knowing your engine code would have helped us but guessing that it is a BGB code engine the fault code indicates a flow problem with the tank vent valve system via the N80 valve and with that and the lack of other codes indicating a circuit problem we can assume the power feed to the N80 is correct as there would be N75, N249 and other codes for components that share the same circuit.

Without running the car on Guided Fault Finding it is difficult to say more than this.

16825 (P0441) - EVAP Emission Control Sys: Incorrect Flow

Possible Symptoms

Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) on

Possible Causes

Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve (N80) faulty/jammed
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Sealing faulty
Pipes between Tank Breathing and Throttle Body leaky/blocked

Possible Solutions

Check Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve (N80)
Perform Output Test
Check Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister
Perform Basic Setting
Check Pipes between Tank Breathing and Throttle Body

Special Notes

Make sure the quick release lines for the N80 valve and vacuum line to LDP are not crossed. This can also make the engine hard to start after filling up the fuel tank.

The valve is next to the air cleaner on the right hand inner wing.

Hey,

sorry for putting this Threat up again.

I'am from Germany and i have a Problem with my 1.8t.

I got the 1.8t engine new in my MK4, and now i have a Fault in the ECU.

17877 - EVAP Canister Solenoid Valve 2 (N115): Open Circuit
35-00 - -

In Germany we normal don't have that N115.

Is there a possibility to give me a Number that i can order this Valve from my Dealer?

Perhaps also someone knows, which Pin's in the ECU are the right ones..

I hope someone can halp me..

Of course you have an N115 valve on your car! Go to your dealer and get them to put into their system your vehicles VIN and then ask them to use the search function in ETKA to find the SDC code N115 for your car.

Thanks for your answer, but isn't this N80? A few Posts bevor in this threat, the N115 looks different on this Picture.

In Germany wen normaly only have the N80 and not the N115, I also didn't find it in the diagram und the Failer will not disappear..

An SDC code search on ETKA for N115 takes you straight to the EVAP canister in the attachment above, N80 takes you to a hose in the breather system but in the workshop manuals wiring diagram it is as you say N80 and N115 does not exist for the Golf 4 so even VW cannot decide but N80 is EVAP 1 not EVAP 2 which I just noticed on the fault code. What year and engine code is your car?
