Question on coil pack recall

I have a 52 reg passat with the 2ltr ALT engine. VW have confirmed it is part of the recall on coil packs and said they will book it in to test them? According to the recall only coils with the following part number should be left in 06C 905 115 L and 06C 905 115 M. The P/N on mine is 06B 905 115 L. Is it madatory for them to change them or only if they show a fault? My car is missing very slightly when cold so nothing may show up with regards to the coil packs but I wanted to rule these out?
