Full Colour screen Navigation unit

I am looking at models with a Navigation unit - i know it is easy to get a CD but can the software be updated on the navigation unit as i have seen the navigation units on the newer models at the dealerships and it looks really intuitive -

Can i retro fit a navigation unit to an non nagivation car - i know the car which has navigation system also shows up on the dash while cars that dont will not have this feature - if i am correct. Sre there any problems with them? Can you watch TV off them as well?

Yes you can retro fit navigation. It'll show up in the dash when you've coded the car to tell it nav is installed.

You can watch TV on it if you must. You need additional equipment though, the nav unit can't do TV on it's own. Its not worth the effort IMHO as screen resolution is low and picture quality isn't great. It's perfectly possible if you want it though.
