Could be lots of things;

Coil pack(s) would be my guess though.

Go to the vagcom sub forum and see if there is anyone local who may be able to scan it for faults and do some output tests and read some measuring blocks.

Coil packs have a 5 year garrante I think.... pretty sure tho how old is your car?

7 year old is there seperate coil 4 each cylinder?

Hi i have a bora that was missing and hesitated when throttle pressed...ther were no fault codes traced to the maf the air sensor on the intake pipe at the air filter to check u need to disconect it (pull the plug off) and try it on the road
