I have a Parrott hands-free Bluetooth phone kit in my 06-plate A4 2.0 TDI S-line, the CK3100 model (info: http://goo.gl/EJJpL). It's a great tool, works well with any of my Android phones and I'm happy with it. One thing I've wondered about from time to time is how much more useful (and probably safer to use) it would be if the phone controls on the multifunction steering wheel could control the Parrott.

I came across an installation guide on the Parrott website for doing just this specifically on an '06 A4 (or S4) - http://goo.gl/1QofX (link to PDF file). It doesn't look terribly complex although I'd ask a professional installer to do it (I have had great experience with John Kleis Car Audio in Reading).

My question is - has anyone done this? Is it worth it? And is it expensive to do?

Thanks !
