I have a 97 polo saloon osf window mech is faulty do i need any special tools thanks

You might need to give a bit more information. What exactly is wrong with it? Electric/manual?

the window partially went down about 2 inches now it will not go up or down assume its the door window mech this is manual o/s/f i have done a mech before on an older model heard on this 97 you need to undo torx bolts is this correct and what size if needed many thanks
