Changing both airbags- help

Thinking about buying a leon tdi on a 51 reg which has 2 airbags deployed. do i have to buy a new dash as well as the airbags?.. or is the passenger airbag seperate from the dashboard? Any help would be appreciated. andy

You'll need a new steering wheel cover which is fairly inexpensive and a new dash which isn't. The bag, IIRC, pops through the dash itself so the whole thing has to be swapped out. New bags are quite pricey too.
