Audi A4 tdi 2006 convertible heaters only blowing cold air !!!!!!

I am in desperate need of any information/ideas.. i have a n Audi A4 td convertable on an 06 plate.the heaters are only blowing cold air,the temp gauge is normal.I have just had the car serviced and water pump changed but still no warm air..please help ...

WATER PUMP CHANGED - THATS THE CLUE! (oops left caps lock on). You have air in the system, run engine with exp cap off or bleed from highest point in system.

Yea fair comment but the problem was there before i had the water pump/thermostat changed..any other thoughts ?

Is it blowing cold on both sides?have a feel of the heater matrix temp up by the clutch pedal,you should be able to see the two silver pipes .

Thanks for your reply, The bottom pipe is hot and the top one is cold..We are currently re trying to flush the core out,any ideas or advise would be greatly appreciated..:confused:

there is a post on here somewhere detailing how to remove the heater without dismantling the dash...

A scan of the HVAC would be useful,if you eliminate the matrix.

Thanks for your reply,I have changed the water pump and timing belt and had the system bled...but still no heat!!!!
wait theres worst to come...I started the car today and there is steam coming out of the exhaust,,oh no ,,,Apparently there are reported problems with heads becoming pourous on - 04-06 plate Audi's...I think that if this is correct then Audi should be stepping up to the plate and do the decent thing :zx11::aargh4::1zhelp:
