Ok chaps/chapesses...........a couple or so years back my boot refused to lock. I went to a local repair place and they fitted one of their own solenoids, linkage etc, and all was working again.....for about £80....most of that was labour...:(
For some reason (I can't for the life of me remember why....perhaps on the basis that it might go wrong again) I bought from the local VW dealer:
1. 8D5 959 489 - switch.
2. 3B5 827 505 M - Lock.
These are still in their sealed bags.
Note.....Expiry date.........None.
Now this is for my 02.02.02 - 51 plate 1.9 TDi Passat.....silver and called Vera :D
Anyone interested, perhaps you can PM me with your details so I know where to send the items ?.
Since it will just be a Jiffy bag job, then the postage will probably amount to....not a lot, and I am not asking for any.
If this post is in the wrong place, then perhaps a Mod can give me a good slapping and move it towards where it should be........thanks.
