I've had a problem with a fast idle on my polo when i appear to approach junctions. My normal idle is around 750 rpm but as i approach and junction and stop stationary, the idle can stay high at 1000 - 1200 rpm. I've found some stuff on here that may suggest it's the throttle body but can find exactly the same symptoms.
Is it the throttle body or possibly something else?
Also I've noticed my high level brake light is not working right now and my rear fog light dash board light is illuminating when i brake. Are these two realated?
