Just a quick question. I assume that (with the seats down), I can get 4 wheels with tyres in the boot of my (sedan) car.......

try this: put them in, if they fit then...... yes, if not....... no :-) sorry i dont know but it seems possible but in my octavia they have to be offset for width

I've managed it before (tyres only) but I had two load two tyres through the back doors to sit on top of the folded-down rear seats and the other two through the boot lid.

Almost definitely, seats down or not.
I've carried 4 shod wheels often in saloons ... even in Subaru Impreza saloons where the rear seats don't fold (bolted rear seats in the old Sti). Was always able to put two in the boot and two on the rear seats. You'll be fine.

Come on guys !!

If I could do the below in my old TT (and I did it in my B6 S4 saloon) then I see no reason why it would be hard in a B8 A4. ;)

@ scotty.... I remember the post well on the TT forum, it became a bit of a legend, I believe people still use it to prove 4 wheels will fit....

I think the only reason it was used a lot was due tpI took a decent picture and put it on the web. I didn't find the solution to the jigsaw puzzle.

That honour I believe belongs to Russel (the founder of the original TT Owners Club). In fact I bought some wheels and had to call him to find out how they fitted in ! <blush>

They definetly fit. I put four 19" wheels (with tyres fitted) in the back of my A4 B8 saloon when the garage fitted my winter set last year.
