Hello, please could someone advise me on the parts that I would need to retrofit bluetooth to my 2007 Q7 with the 2G MMI High Sat Nav system? Part Numbers would really help!
Thanks, David...

Thanks! Do you know if the Microphone is already in the car or I need to fit one?

I can only speak of the research I've done for the retrofit bluetooth kit in the A6, rether than the Q7, but with the A6, you have to fit the microphone but there is a gap this will fit into in the overhead lighting unit.

I have only retrofitted one in my Audi A4 Convertible 2005 and I needed a mic so I am sure you will need one as well if the car did not come with a Bluetooth already fitted.
My mic was placed in the overhead lighting as well Brycie.

Couple of ways to check. If you have SDS fitted then you have a mic. Press the voice button on the steering wheel (right hand side of the airbag). If you get a message on the DIS along the lines of "button not in use" then you don't have SDS and without bluetooth are unlikely to have a mic.

The other way is to drop the centre light cluster and have a look. Comes out easy enough. I have some instructions for removing it somewhere if you're interested. Once you've got the unit out, you can see the place holders for the mic by the small round grill cut in to the plastic. Mic should be behind it. If not, that's where you'll need to put it. The cable clips in to a socket on the board.

Hope that helps.

Turns out I had bluetooth all along, but the unit was faulty and wasn't being detected!

Good news, so all you need is a replacement.
