95 Audi 80 2.6 non start prob

Howdie folks

Brother in law has bought a 2.6 V6 Audi 80. Lovely car, was going perfectly until yesterday. It will not start. Turn the key, fuel pump primes, car turns over, there is spark but it will not fire. Any ideas? Brother in law mentioned that he believes the injecters are not injecting. Is there a module which controls this? Any ideas will be greatly recieved.

I think it may be worth checking the ECU, G62 coolant temp sensor is healthy,

other than that,I'm struggling to think what would allow a spark but cause the fuel to shut off?

I think a fault code read may be in order. a lead from E bay with VCDS lite or Vag com 409 should work, but you also need an adaptor lead to go from the 16 pin obd2 to the older 2x2 pin obd1 on our Audis.
