2011 Jetta gearbox

My new Jetta has always had a poor synchromesh function on gears 1,2 and 3. 4,5 and 6 are pretty smooth and I'm hoping that someone can venture an opinion as to why this is so!

I have looked online and found the various videos of gear cable repair but this is a new car.

Have you taken it back to VW? I've never seen the need to investigate problems myself when I have a car that has a warranty. That's what the VW technicians get paid to do.
