Howdy all,

Thinking of moving back into the VW/AUDI world of motoring again.Had a few Golfs in my time(Mk1 Campaign,Mk2 gti 8v&16v,MK3 gti 8v)also lucky enough to own a B5 S4 with AMD 360bhp conversion(milly pipes sound gorgeous).Unfortunately had to cut back for new house:( and running a clio sport at the moment(nippy little motors).Looking towards a Mk4 GTTDI 130 Golf at the moment as i need something nippy but able to pull a jetski. How are these for towing?:Blush2: and is there any faults i need to look out for.A remap/chip sounds good idea.Any help would be great.

I had a 130 a couple of years ago, plenty of torque, would eat the ski up mate

hi and welcome to the forum ;)

golfs aren't really designed with towing in mind, but the 130 has enough low range grunt to pull something like a jetski, that must be around 500kg? i think golfs are good for up to around 1500kg (ish)

Hi there, welcome welcome.

I should be getting my passat 130PD sport re-mapped soon, will let you know how it goes.

Getting it done at ChippedUK, with Chip-n-spin, we are doing a group buy on the re-map and runs on the rolling road. :approve:
