I know I know never heard of them eh?
Well I needed 4 new tyres for the CC and after much research plunked for a set of Barum bravius 2 with a 94 load index rather than the 97 they now spec, I believe.
I like the fact they are Continental's "value" brand and made on the same production line, they look pretty similar to Continental and they were £312 all in for the 4 at National tyres!!!!!
So after a 1,000 miles in some pretty heavy rain I can say I'm very pleased I took the plunge so to speak. They handle very well wet or dry, are quiet and stopping distance in standing water was as good as I would ever want when I stood on the brakes just to see how they behaved.
I went for the 94 load index as these were the spec on my 2008 car and I like a softer more compliant ride than I guess moving up to 97's would give.
So, advert over (I don't work for them by the way) and hope this helps but don't tell everyone otherwise the price will go up!
