Heater matrix

OK gang, I have read that changing a heater matrix on the coupe is a god awful job though not that expensive.
Who has done one, how much and how long, whats actually necessary to remove in order to access the unit and whats the procedure?

'95 2.6 ABC coupe, manual front drive.

God awful is one way I would describe it, the others are words banned by the swear filter. It takes me just under two days to do one.

the matrix on my 80 b4 has a leak so i will be changing mine soon, dont know if your dash and fittings are the same as mine, i found a very good guide online for the matrix replacement on an s2 which has the same dash and fittings as mine, give or take a few bits, if you want i will email you a copy as i cant find the guide online again to put up a link.
