Just to let you know, the RNS315 in the CC I picked up last week now has full postcode entry (albeit without house number). It also lets you put destination data on an SD card (in the form of vCard files) which can then be imported into the 315.

I've been contributing to this thread if you want more info:

Full postcode on the RNS315

Read on another post/forum that new cars have full MFD/steering wheel phone control ??

Yep, got that too. Have Nokia 3109c and the MFD displays the address book controlled via the steering wheel controls. Doesn't seem to have voice control though - has anybody got voice to work on an RNS315?

With the old spearate bluetooth module you had to go into a contact on the mfd, options, add voice tag - i think that might work with your setup but wouldn't expect voice control for the stereo functions like you get on the 510. If you press the mic button on the steering wheel to you get a tone through the speakers (which is the prompt to say a command)? Are you able to get a vcds scan done of your car (specifically module 77)?

I would also be interested in firmware and hardware version from pressing and holding setup button.

Also Jon, does your stereo have a phone buttone on it? What happens when you press it - does it just mute the stereo?

Not sure what you mean by "Phone button" on the stereo. There's a phone menu button done the side of the display which brings up the phone menu. And there's a microphone button on the steering wheel which just mutes the sound (doesn't give a tone as a prompt for voice command).

Does anyone have any idea whether or not these functions (full postcode and fully integrated bluetooth) will be available following a software update?

I received my cc in January 11 but I don't have these great functions :-(

What a waste of time!

There is no update for the bluetooth to use the MFD / steering wheel controls (which is ridiculous given it is actually safer for me to pick up my phone and dial a number than use the main rns-315 screen!)

There is however an update for the satnav to use full postcodes but I have been told that this is only available as a new disc (£210). I tried explaining that my map isn't out of date, I just want a function that is available on a £100 tomtom! I haven't pushed for a discount on the disc as I'm reluctant to pay anything for something that should just be available as standard, maybe when my map is more than 6 months out of date, I may be willing to pay for an update!

I didn't even have any joy with DRLs. I asked the dealer to turn these on today - I know a number of users have done this themselves using VAGCOM / VCDS. I have just been told that my 2011 cc doesn't have DRLs! I know that there aren't any LED DRLs but I thought that the ones that have been discussed here are a normal bulb on a lower intensity?

Anyway, rant over - I'd best get back to work.

P.S. Fordgt40 - what did the dealer offer to do for £140? Cheers

Expensive few words,:D
I assume that's for 6 digit Sat nav only ??

£140 was for the disc and checking that the unit in my car would accept it, apparently the sat nav would then accept up to 7 digit post code, but at that price I'm not going to have it done
