Handbrake adjustment

Hi, is the handbrake adjustment at the lever or underneath on a 06 jetta. i need to change the rear pads.

you shouldnt need to touch the handbrake adjustment doing rear pads

you need vcds or a tool to reset the electronic handbrake before you do pads
then you wind back pistons to allow pads to be changed
