16683 (P0299) - Boost Pressure Regulation: Control Range Not Reached

Possible Symptoms

Reduced Power Output
Limp Mode
Possible Causes

Hoses/Pipes incorrect connected, disconnected or leaking
Charger Pressure Control defective
Turbocharger faulty
Diverter Valve faulty
Possible Solutions

Check Hoses/Pipes to/between Components
Check / Clean / Replace Charge Pressure Control
Check Turbocharger
Check Diverter Valve
This is possibly a vacuum leak on the turbo control system such as a rubbed through hose.

I'll have to get more details tomorrow, pre heater light flashed today and car went into limp mode - switch off, switch on and it was fine again and hasn't come back in about 80 miles today.

The engine management light hasn't come on yet but every time I drive it, I'm just waiting..................

Finally got the car back in December after about 5 months in and out of SEAT................ new turbo and working fine. I'm sure I suggested that at the start but hey, dealers know best
