Remapping Tdi 170 cr with cvt

I have an 09 A6 tdi cr with cvt gearbox and I was looking at getting it remapped. Can anyone tell me if the gearbox can handle a remap and what to look out for? What's the limits of the gearbox with regard to torque ?
