Will B6 front springs fit B5 suspension?

I need to replace my front springs on my 1.9tdi b5 and have found some front springs from a b6..... are these by any chance identical? ... or identical enough to fit?

In a word they do fit. How it will look depends as the b6 is heavier than the b5...

Thanks for the help, In the end I found a complete set of sport shocks in good nick, so decided to do it properly than take the risk of using the b6 springs.
Car handles a treat now. The rear shocks I had originally were much worse than I anticipated and so im really glad that I managed to get the whole set :)
