Chipped to hell - car cover

Hi all

Was driving donw the motorway when a car pulled sharply into my lane and hit a load of grit, which went straight across my beautiful white bonnet and u know what came next!

there must be at least 20 chips on the bonnet alone, 5 are deep to the metal, and a whole chunk of paint came off the bottom. Im going to try and get it sorted from a bodyshop as good as possible.

I have heard there is a clear plastic cover to put on the front of the car so prevent further damage..anyone know of this?

Ouch! nothing on mine so far that hasn't polished out.

I've seen this 3M scotchgard paint protection file stuff advertised

There are various makes and companies that do this.

Do a search for ventureshield, they are very good, albeit quite pricey.

Alternatives are Paintshield and Armourfend
