Now then, odd questions.

The car seats on my 1996 A 4 are filthy and need a thoroughly good seeing to. I could have them professionally valeted or hire a cleaner and do them myself.

That said, I decided on the idea of getting a pair of hog pliers and some hog rings, taking the covers off and then just giving them a good wash in the washing machine. Cheapest easiest.

Thing is, does anybody know if the covers will shrink in the washing machine?

Odd question I know, but worth asking. :D

ive done it before, they didnt shrink at 40 deg but they are a pain to strip down, make sure you you make a few sketches of where all the metal rods etc go and do one seat at a time
also i didnt reuse hog rings but used good quality small cable ties which made it alot easier and quicker to reassemble and they worked perfectly

Excellent. Thanks for that.

I have the Elsawin instructions for the stripping. I'll start with the raer seat for a tester, looks easiest.
