Mk1 front wiper brain teaser

Hi guys.

My 2004 Mk1 golf front wipers, rear wiper, washer bottle motors and fan/blower inside the car stopped working since this morning we first started the car. Yesterday all was fine. I checked all the fuses and they're fine. If I remove the fuse and test for power I get nothing, however the others work eg hooter,etc
What else can be the problem? Relay?

Surely a 2004 would be a mk4? As for the problem, washers and wipers all run through your wiper relay, which is usually a big (10x5x8cm~) brown one. Heaters i dont know, but one thing to check is the power distribution board on the battery (bit with all the +ve wires on like a black box on the +ve terminal of the bat) for corrosion, ive had some vags melt one of the connectors which was attached to the AC system.

Nope, here in South Africa we still got the MK1 up to last year. Mine is a 2004 Citi golf 16i with the Polo dash, that's how they came out brand new here by us.
