Servicing costs on an A3 1.8T

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of buying a used A3 1.8T in the future and I am wondering if the servicing of these cars is as expensive as people say it is.
Can anyone shine some light on this for me?

Compared to Fords and all the French rubbish the servicing isn't too cheap, however, as your car won't break down/have parts fall off etc. the cost of the service is negligable.
