vw satnav golf mark V

hi..can anyone help me..i bought a vw satnav unit via ebay to fit in my golf markv..its the standard unti but trying to get someone to fit it for me is a bit of a mare..i woul ddo it myself but dont want to risk damaging the parts ofthe dash that have to come off to access the unit..vw wont touch of course and most of the car audio specialists are very negative..probably cos i'm not buying a unit from them...is it true that the unit has to be programmed to work with my car? or does anyone know an audio specialist who would do the job in the south east??..please help!:aargh4: :aargh4:

This probably won't be of much help - but my brother has just fitted one into his Audi a4 and he also brought his off ebay - and the person that he brought it from gave him full fitting instructions - could you not ask the person that sold it to you for the same?
