Does anyone have any recent experience of the delivery time for the GTI ?

(I'm assuming a factory order).

Well this has been talked about before if you do a search delivery times dates. This can vary depending on your spec from 3 to 8 months You're not having DSG are you then wait a bit longer?

Yes, I did see those threads, but the problem seemed to be mainly with the 1.4TSi and the diesels.

I'm interested in a 3 door GTI (manual).

To answer my own question, my local dealer has told me that a factory car would be typically 6 months.
Apparently, the GTI allocations are more severely limited than the GT.

Whilst mine was in being serviced i notice one up for sale at 29995 - Shell shocked. Is that what GTi's are going for these days?? I was possibly considering one when mine was 3 years old thinking they were circa 23K

They should be £25k for a 3 door manual.

Interestingly, the Scirocco GT 2.0TSI (essentially the same car), is £24.5k and has a better spec.
Need to check on availability however.
