View Full Version : A3 Remap Problems?

Hi I'm having my A3 remapped next week and just wondered if anyone had experienced any problems after having it done. Its being remapped to 198 BHP on a 2006 2.0TDi with 118,000 miles.

Had it done a couple of months now and glad I had it done. Is now 195 BHP and getting between 3 and 5 MPG more. Also had the Turbo and Injectors checked before they did it. :-)

Is the power really noticeable?? Can you keep up with bigger cars now? Sorry to quiz you... Just wanna make sure it's worth it

And is the car running any smoother? Any black smoke?

Wouldn't say car any smoother,only black smoke is if you really put your foot down. As far as being faster on mine going from 1st gear to 2nd is no different but that is to save the clutch but once you get into 3rd and put your foot down you notice it. I find the car alot nippier. The turbo whines more but have had it checked out by where the remap was done and a specialist and it's normal on a remapped car. With the people who did mine I had 14 days money back guarantee so if I hadn't of felt that the car was no better etc they would have put it back. Even now for £50 they will revert it back, Hope all this helps, let me know how you get on.
