Hi there, I have a audi 1.8t 150 bhp and just bought a 180bhp ecu that's been mapped to 210 bhp and was wondering what need to do to change the ecu's over and the potential risks? Is it just a case of recoding the immobiliser or is it going to be a lot more of a pain than that? I'm not entirely sure if my turbo is going to take it but if it doesn't then that will just give me the excuse to get a bigger one. My engine is an agu and the ecu is one from a 2000 Ibiza. Another question is.. Is the key programmed to the ecu or the ecu programmed to the key? And then the engine sensors thereselves need to be changed to be the same type as the ecu? The ecu itself has the same plugs though so if it's just a immobiliser re-code then I should be ok right? Any advise would be greatfull thanks.

The ECU is matched to the key AND the clocks anyway so you would of needed the clocks as well. . . they don't make it easy for us do they!?!
