Hi folks. I'm thinking of changing my 98 1.8 Passat for either the V6 TDI or 130 TDI Sport estates?
Does anybody have an idea of the costs of changing timing belts, general service costs and running costs between the two.
I've seen a couple of each and the ones I'm considering have 60k miles and are roughly the same price from vw dealerships, the V6 TDI being a bit older. And what about the tiptronic auto box on the V6, any good?
I'm leaning towards the V6 TDI but am aware that some jobs especially timing belts are a massive job on 'V' engines and therefore rather expensive.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
