Hi, 3 year old A4 2.0 auto, had it for about a month 2nd hand (full Audi service and so on) and the engine management warning light has just come on. It drives perfectly still and has no problems that I can tell of.

Any clues dears?

Could be one of literally a hundred or more things. You will need a piece of diagnostic kit to find out either at a dealer, specialist, good general garage or get one yourself. www.ross-tech.com

If you don't want to buy a VagCom lead to go with the software at Ross Tech then put up your location and see if another member has one close by!

Hi folks - bought a 2litre A4 Avant (03 plate) last wednesday and the EMS warning light has come on. Took it for diagnostics and the mechanic said the problems were air intake leak, revs higher than expected and something else (i forget now). He reset all the faults and said it could just be that the car had been started, moved short distances and turned off lots of times in the garage.

Now the light has come on again, and the revs seem a bit irregular (sometimes it feels really rough, like the engine is rocking the car). Any ideas? Did the previous guy with an EMS problem find a fix? Any help much appreciated.

Also - how the **** do I turn off the 'Econ' setting on the heater? I hit the button a while ago (just playing with the controls) and the light came on, but now it won't go off!

I'm not as stupid as I sound, honestly!
