Hi my name is Dodip after looking through several forums on leaking AUDI A4s I would like to advise any one to a new and complicated water leak entering the car.
Most of the AUDI have duck bill rubber drains in the bulk head below the battery and servo unit and have caused several problems due to not being maintained or serviced correctly, also water has been reported coming in through the pollen filter.
Pleased be advised that water may also enter under the ECU unit which sits on a large square seal which may leak if disturbed or not fitted correctly, the water will the run down the ECU ambilical cord down onto the accelerator pedal sensor and when this is disturbed with water will reduce the car to go into safe mode and enter the floor pan causing dampness . An expensive repair at £240 , the ECU has to be disconnected and the new accelerator pedal sensor to be programmed in along with the ignition keys. Hope this may help some one out there,
