just bought a 3 year old audi tt from a pal- he had a full service done on it too- everything was cool until last night i noticed the emission warning light come on

car still drives well but i'd like some advice on next step

- do i take it take it to an audi dealer?
- a normal garage??
- or do i just leave it as a few others on this website have done as these lights can be a little unpredictable

- the garage it just got serviced at is miles away

thanks in advance for any advice!!!

You need to have a fault code read as it could be any one of half a dozen common faults such as coolant temp sender, lambda probe(s), dirty throttle body, air mass meter, an air leak etc etc. Do you have a VW specialist near you?

Not a good idea it could result in damage to the catalyst.
