We had some new neighbours (next door but 1) at Xmas this year. They seem real nice people, but the lady of the house seems to have one or two problems driving her car.

He has a C-Class and she had a Yaris. They have a long drive of which half of it is down the side of the house (which has pot plants on the drive I think so the plants get taken out before the side of the house). The half that is at the front is just enough for the two cars. She seems to only park the Yaris level with the front of the house. It means his Merc overhangs the drive and due to the tight road layout (we are all on a bend) it can make it a little awkward for me to get up my drive. Not a big deal really.

My house, next door and the new couple's drives all meet at the end more or less. Between next doors and my next door and next door but 1 there is a small garden border parallel with the two drives. The Yaris likes to drive over this http://www.clubscuderia.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/laugh.gif.
My neighbour as put a conifer and stones down this border which gave the Yaris a bit of trouble http://www.clubscuderia.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/shocked.gif being little.

Last weekend a rather nice black VW Touareg appeared on the drive. It replaced the Yaris. As you can imagine it is reasonably well equipped to go off road.

This morning my wife is at home. My daughter getting ready for school. They were looking out the window as the VW reversed down the drive, well nearly.

We were correct in our off road assumptions. The boulders are not a problem for Touaregs. The conifer is not a problem for the Touareg, it is now I believe lying down asleep http://www.clubscuderia.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/grin.gif. We also have these green recycle boxes for plastic/glass containers. About 24"x12"x12" approx. These are also not problem for VW Touaregs it actually has the ability to turn them into projectiles and launch them across the road http://www.clubscuderia.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/laugh.gif.

I only hope the VW does not manage to get across my next door neighbours drive and onto my lawn http://www.clubscuderia.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/cry.gif

Hahah!

This thread, as you know, is worthless without pics.

At least they took it off road, more than can be said for most 4 x 4 x far

tch tch Carl :p My wife is a superb driver, going forwards and backwards. She copes with her MX5 and the Passat very well ;)

No she does not read the forum either :p

You are right about my neighbour though. She is a nice person and probably drives the car very well frontwards but her reversing skills need honing :D or maybe in the 4x4 it does not matter :biglaugh:

up at my parents house, there next door neighbour used to have this issue cutting the corner over the grass each day...

As it was a shared piece of lawn between the two houses and was being to look a bit tatty as it was turning to mud my decided to place some big rocks around the eadge to give the grass a chance of living...

anyway.. that night the "women" comes back in her little Mini Cooper S, misses it with the front wheel and then cracks into it with the sill and under it goes lifting the little mini onto 2 wheels....

it was great watching her burn rubber trying to get off... instead of going backwards.. she continued to try and go forward which she managed after a few minutes...

anyway... she never said anything... but a few nights later she did it again.... say no more..

anyway.. they have moved house now!!
