Very nice, that last shot highlights the need for some side skirts or at least a bit of silver paint on the sills.
Did you get chance to take a look at pistonheads at the S4 skirts for sale at approx £75.
While you are on pistonheads take a peep and see if you can find a nice set of Avus ( S4 ) 18" rims , they would really finish off that subtle, clean understated look
Keep on fiddling mate ,she looks lovely.

The car looks nearly original, don't cheapen-it too much. :D

I don't think any of Jase's alterations to date have cheapened the vehicle , more like subtle ,tasteful enhancements.
Not like some carrots who go Lexus lights and tacky alloys, too jappy , not at all Audi

I always like my cars to look there best, to my taste subtle but with a standard enhancement look,

I like to put my own stamp on them :biglaugh:

Is your sun roof original as it sticks above the roof when slid back? Mine is the pre face lift but when i want to open it fully it retracts inside the car roof lining.

JASEA4
30-03-2011, 08:32 PM
Yes mate a fully original factory sunroof, mines face lift and one of the very last to be made of the B5:D

Looks nice anyway. Skirts and sills are not my thing but still looks good. Looking to give mine a good polish soon and i might have to go and take some shots after seeing yours.

I am a little intrigued as to why they would change the sun roof design especially as it is just a face lift. Interesting to see what else they changed. I know it all looks very similar inside but it is subtly different in so many ways. The front scuttle changed and i know the later ones had a rear 12v outlet but there must be lots more. Maybe a topic for a new thread.

Its always nice to get out there with a polished car and get some pics

ive got the original owners pack with the car and was owned by audi for years :) no expense spared:D

its factory fitted webasto , fully electric sunroof with Audi docs to back it up
yep 12v in rear is a great extra

Side skirts i have purchased are genuine audi so will look factory still.

Yeah right, if ya wanna be known as an approval-seeker, or feel
a need to be patronised.

I'd rather chop my legs off.

Is this a reference to the ugly yellow tree that's hanging
from the interior mirror?

Or the painted calipers?

Or the smoked tail-lights?

Or the tinted rear windows?

If so, then you have successfully confined your taste to
within the oral cavities. :D

To each his own, if we all had the same taste the world would be a boring place.
If you are seriously not impressed then fine Yaman, but having a pop like that is not called for, this is supposed to be a friendly place where like minded people can chat etc.
If I have mis read your opinion as out of order then I apologise and accept it as banter

like my post reads "to my taste, subtle but with a standard enhancement look, I like to put my own stamp on them"

I dont need to justify what i do......

Others may have things on there cars or there taste may be not mine, but i wouldnt be rude enough to pic fault

and my god how petty , so what if theres an air freshner in it. I like my cars to be clean look how i want them to look and smell how i want them so smell...............

If you want to keep your car complete factory standard thats up to you, me i like to personilise them to MY liking :biglaugh:

One what JASEA4?

One member who is not prepared to stroke the pretentious
ego of another member?

I'm happy to be that one, and I'm not surprised that you
know of the existence of others. :)

I thought the big grin (:D) would have given a clue on the
bantometer read-out.

I really don't mind the car, it could still be restored. :D

Looking smart now but crying out for 18" Avus S4 rims and that would probably be enough
Clean and nice.
Just aquired another 80 coupe v6 in purple met on 18 inch Rs4's, needs some re-finishing and a few bits putting back together , then a new mot, I'll sort some piccies when done .

Yep , once the purple coupe is all up together I'll be selling on the silver one with a new mot and a bit of tax, I'll miss the silver one but look forward to a change.
The red A4 cabby in my avatar will be on her way soon as the wifey fancies a change after 2 years in a convertible, she wants a later A3.Following the v6 theme it may have to be a 3.2 quattro, who knows

looks awesome, BUT......you need to get the black bit on the bottom of the door painted too.

And a nice shiney new twin exhaust tip!

JASEA4

will be looking at spraying door fins when i replace them with new ones , and yeah been looking into a chrome tip for exhaust :beerchug:

I bought two little exhaust trims from poundland ages ago. Just cut off the pipes at the bend and shoved them on. Looks ok, bit like pee shooters tho. But as a budget mod it was ok. Been on there for a few months and no rust.

I wouldnt say to do it, but if like me you cant afford anything else its a good idea.

I will be getting a full straight through custom exhaust soon. I want twin exits on both sides so i need to get the spare wheel compartment cut too so i can get the pipe under it. But not sure yet, will see what the guy says is best!

With the door fins, wont the paint crack and flake off though as soon as the rubber bends or touches something? or do they make them in a hard plastic?

JASEA4

rear doors now tinted had them done today , so full complete rear 20% tinted
