drivers door courtesy light

hi guys

a saxo parked itself in my drivers door in december (dont ask!)

all safe (main thing) not my fault (also good) and car all repaired

however - no courtesy light on drivers door - light works fine using the switch on the light cluster.

i guess its a switch in the door somewhere?

anything I can try myself?

It is a microswitch in the latch.

cheers snapdragon - so do i need a new latch? or can the microswitch be replaced / repaired?

anyone who knows costs etc would be useful - i only want to keep the car for another 6 months, so i dont want to spend a fortune - but also i would like to have it done as i want it to be a proper car when i sell it

Could also be a broken wire in the loom that goes to
the A pillar, or a connection that has not been reassembled
properly.
