Hi - I have a V reg Bora with central locking. Someone has broken into it and stolen the cd player. VW have what they call a "security feature" whereby all the windows open when the locks are activated in a certain way. This meant that all the "b" had to do once he'd taken out the lock was lean inside ie. he did'nt have to open the door which would have triggered the alarm. My question is can I get that one lock replaced or do I have to have the whole system replaced?

Once you have replaced your locks, disable windows 'full closure' with vag-com.

This is a temporary fix for the windows down security problem.

i would reccomend getting a blanking set, available from eBay, i am planning on doing this to my golf, obviously i dont want to describe exactly how it compromises your security.... but the windows down IS the biggest security flaw i have ever come across.
