B7 Avant rear luggage cover

Anybody any idea how to remove the rear luggage cover from the rear seats? Mine needs to be given a thorough wash due to mud splashes from the dogs, don't want to do it in situ as splashes may contaminate the headliner etc

fold seats down, pull it out of the off side rear door.
Normally quite stiff.
