I have a damaged nav screen, it was damaged by cleaning with glass cleaner, One wipe was sufficient to remove the anti glare coating as you see in the picture
I,m after ideas / options to restore the screen, for example would one of the anti glare protector films work
Thanks in advance for any replies :beerchug:

Hi Mate,
Just Tesco window and glass cleaner (contains viniger so it says) was cleaning the inside of the windscreen and thought the nav screen looked a bit dusty !

Don't know how you would go about restroing it but I wipe mine with a dry microfibre cloth to get the dust off.

You never put any type of cleaner on a LCD screen, or else that happens :/

Hope you get it sorted out :)

I feel sorry for you bud. I'm sure it looks worse than it actually is. Hopefully you'll be able to sort with either a coat of something or a film cover.

Is that a B8 display? I haven't seen a B8 interior before. Didn't realise the screen was incorporated into the dash.

Hi
Thanks for the replies so far, The cars a A6, 2005, I posted on A4,A6,A8 forums to get most coverage, the cure for a A4 screen will be the same for A6

I have been recommended this;
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=vikuiti+armr200&tag=googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=5127972776&ref=pd_sl_6i9vlw8e2p_b

The method is to order an appropriate size, remove the remaining anti glare coating and cut to size and apply the film, apparently it is hard to tell its its there, the screen looks like original, sounds to good to be true, but going to give it a go, anybody heard of this fix and the results???

Ah i see. It might worth testing a small area with the screen cover before removing every last bit of the anti glare just in case it doesn't work. I hope it does work though.
