Hey guys, just been speaking to my parts manager / friend Peter Chimes at Stirling Audi....( some of you may know him? Great guy and a real car enthusiast )

Anyhow he's having a meet in Central Scotland on the 27th March, meeting at the Granada services in Stirling just off M9.M80 at 9.30 ish then heading out to Glenturret distillery in Crieff.

Sounds like a good day out and lots of fun....I'm going to try and be there and if any of you are interested, please post in here if you're up for it.

Please see original email below from Peter......:beerchug:

Hello fellow Audi Enthusiast’

We are having the annual get together up at the Glenturret distillery on the 27th March, in Crieff.
I am going to organise being at the Granada services for 9.30 / 9.45 M9/M80 junction and anyone wishing to join us for a
convoy to this event is more than welcome.
we travel up at normal speeds, and last year we had over 4000 bhp in the convoy.
Don’t forget the clocks go forward on this day.

Planning on entering the MacMillan Cancer charity sponsored ski at Glencoe on Sunday to raise some money for a very worthwhile cause.

We will be having our own private convoy up the A82 Glasgow to Glencoe. A6 2.7tdi (remapped) v’s A4 2.0tdi

Have a good day if you go

Real shame that none of you guys will be able to attend.....I'd really love to catch up with some of you in person :beerchug:

Having said that life is intervening and may make my attendance unlikely although I'm still trying to make that happen....I will try and take pics obviously if I can get there.

Thanks:beerchug:

Hey guys, here's a quick post showing some pics of the meet at Glen Turret Distillery earlier today.http://www.scotchwhisky.net/distilleries/glenturret.htm
We met at the service area as arranged ( around 17 of us ) and drove convoy style to Crieff. Quite a feeling even with 17 Audi's in a pack on the road
There were many many more from different areas already there when we arrived.......I did a quick count and got around 67 cars there so a really great turnout.

There were allsorts, new n old alike and ranging from 1.9 tdi's to an R8 as well as RS4 / RS6 / S4, many Quattros, Audi 80's, 100's really quite diverse.

The people too that I managed to speak to.......some came from Glasgow / Falkirk Stirling and surrounding areas, but some had travelled from the North, from south of Edindburgh, Ayr and even from Durham.

There was a raffle for various items including a £495 detail, various Audi merchandise, a lovely lunch laid on with 20% discount vouchers for the Audi members, the sun was out, the backdrop scenery was amazing..........a really really great day.

It was to go on till around 3pm with some detailing on Peters Audi 100 taking place, a talk on parts , ECU's and other items.

Unfortunately I had to leave early as Scotland are about to kick off against some other footballing nation, Brasil I think it is........mon the Scots

Anyhow I hope you get a feel for the day and enjoy the pics..............I'll certainly be trying to make the next one

Jim
Thanks for the photos they have really scunnered me  I had such a great day at work.!!!!!!!!!
It looked like a great day and the weather also held out
A real wide spectrum of Audi's represented and they all look first class.
Now the lighter nights are here no reason we cant get something sorted for a wee meet.

No suprise with the result

Hey Andy, sorry I didn't get more / better pics and more close up pics to show off.....my feeble attempt really deosn't do the day justice at all:(

I'm just sorry now that I rushed home for the football when I could've spent a few more hours there and really soaked it all up......maybe next time :beerchug:

Thanks Chris and yes it'd be great......really get some numbers then!!
Have you thought of trying to organise sumthin for Ireland? Might be worth a thought Chris?

Yup it would be. It would be an awesome day :)

Tbh, no I havent. From the members Ive seen on the site from Ireland/NI there wouldnt be enough to make the meet worthwhile if you know what I mean. Also I havent seen very many 'active' members on the site aswell.

UK meet all the way though!! :)

I would say there is yourself Chris, me, Thomas Lad, Belfast Mark and another guy called Gareth that is active from here. Give or take ( I might have missed one lol )
You wouldnt get a big enough venue for us all :)

Guest 2

Wow an enormous list of us lol. There's a couple more I'm aware of such as Sportwag (who from last week lives locally which I didn't know)

Ah I'm sure there's somewhere that would fit us all! Convoy to the Nurburgring maybe? :D

Edit - my head is all over the place tonight and I thought it was Jim replying for some reason? Lol.

:) maybe a Big Mac and a Diet Coke at a central located Mickey D's would be better :)
Scottish and the Irish have always got on great with each other so maybe we could team up and meet half way..... On the HSS it is then ;)

Guest 2

Sounds like a plan. Especially with the instant win stickys you now get which makes the whole thing even better lol.

The Nurburgring thing was for Jim but as I said, my head is everywhere tonight so I wrote it thinking I was relying to Jim and not you lol!! Someone else can drive my car onto the HSS as I have bad experiences hitting concrete bollards. :(

Edit - Sorry to the subscribers of this thread for the spam notifications lol.
