Hi,

Ive recently bought an A4 2.0 TDi 170, it has 100,00 miles on the clock and Im wanting to re-map it, due to the high milage is this a bad idea?

also which induction kit and exhaust system is best?

much appreciated

Dont know much about exhausts but i just got my a6 remapped with 136k, just run in. Wait for the next remap day at Viezu in Bromsgrove, £250 with before and after rolling road.

There would be no problem with mileage as we are often remapping cars with 100,000 + mileage. The increase you can expect for a remap is up to 200 - 205 bhp.

Miltek offer the best performance exhaust however they are the most expensive.

When I had this engine I used a K&N panel filter and this made an extra 6 bhp in the mid range.

good advice there

100k is not out of the way on one of these engines if regularly serviced

a KandN panel filter is excellent and not expensive and no problems like with the 57i when the engine gets hot - they suck in hot air

gains arond 35bhp 75Nm can be expected from this remap
