Hi
Im pulling my hair out fault finding ignition system on my 94 audi 100 2.6 v6.
Initial fault was erratic rev counter and rough lumpy engine.
Found 3-5 coil overheated and burnt-out and as a result ignition module very hot but engine still running on 4 cylinders.Eventually engine cut out completely. Ive since fitted another coil pack & ignition module but there is No Spark on 3-5 HT so was wondering if anyone knows if another component within the system could have failed as a result of coil shorting out or breaking down or if a breakdown in another component could have caused the original coil failure ?
