My interior fan unit just fell off.

I have an 06 2.0 TDI sport with dual climate controls. I was driving along happily and had to pull to let a car by at which point I stalled the car (hmm). It was at this point the fan motor started making a hideous flapping noise from under the glovebox.

So I've just had a look and removed the piece of foamy trim above where the passengers feet would be and have found that the fan motor is moving around freely.

So I was wondering if anyone could help me rectify this issue? How should the motor be fixed in place? And how do I get the glovebox off to see it properly?

Nevermind!

I just took the glovebox off and found that the motor had simply (presumably) vibrated out of its housing.

A little push then a twist later and the motor is sitting pretty again with not a flapping sound to be heard. :biglaugh:

mine is making a terrible squeeking noise at the minute... any ideas?
