I've noticed this recently, taking speed humps, I hear a grating, groaning sound as the car climbs the hump and goes down the other side...sounds like dry bush syndrome...will be booking it in, but has anyone else had a similar thing happen? If so, any idea what it was/is??

Hi JG, I experience grating (metatronic chatter) under the conditions you describe but it's my DSG trying to decide which gear to select whilst I come off/on the power.
The creaking you describe is covered in the links Keith posted.

Mine doesn't have DSG,
At the moment we do don't know what you drive apart from a Golf? You could put some basic spec (model, hp, year etc) in your signature like a lot of users do then users would ask and its informative straight off. I know you are new and haven't made loads of posts but it may crop up in future posts, its only a suggestion its not compulsary? ;)
